Short Snapdragon 855 Review
Spesifikasi Qualcomm Snapdragon 855
One thing that is important to mention is that the SoC is produced with 7 nm lithography. This is the first Qualcomm SoC produced with the most modern lithography for now, where previously they still used 10 nm lithography for Snapdragon 845. This Snapdragon 855 carries an octa-core CPU, a configuration that looks the same as its predecessor. But the Kryo 485 Snapdragon 855 CPU is advancing with the latest core design.
This CPU comes with a configuration of 1x Kryo 485 Gold Prime 2.84 GHz, 3x Kryo 485 Gold 2.42 GHz, and 4x Kryo 485 Silver 1.8 GHz. Kryo 485 Gold Prime and Kryo 485 Gold are built on the basis of the Cortex A76, while the Kryo 485 Silver is built on the base of the Cortex A55. That makes this SoC have a more modern CPU than Snapdragon 845.

For the CPU side, Snapdragon 855 is seen for around 41% compared to Snapdragon 845 for single core testing, which is seen from the Geekbench 4 single core score. These advantages can be generated from several things, including the use of the Kryo 485 Gold Prime, based on the Cortex A76, which carries a more modern architecture than Kryo 385 Gold on Snapdragon 845. While for multi-core, SoC is superior to about 25% of Snapdragon 845.
On the GPU side, it can be seen that up to 17% excellence can be obtained. This shows that the GPU in Snapdragon 855 is increasing compared to the one on Snapdragon 845, which is actually still difficult to match with another premium SoC GPUs. Interestingly, not only in terms of capabilities Qualcomm also offers features that make Snapdragon 855 offers a better gaming experience, especially with HDR support, as well as Snapdragon Elite Gaming packages.
